Billie Eilish and Nike to collaborate

New leaks have revealed Billie Eilish’s first sneaker with Jordan Brand and Nike. Here’s why we think it has been a long time coming.

Images posted by sneaker leak page @pvasneakers have unveiled what could be the first sneaker from the Billie Eilish x Nike collaboration –  a neon green Air Jordan 1 KO.

Subtle co-branding: Eilish’s stickman logo makes an appearance on the tongue tab and a special collab logo appears on the insole of the sneaker.

Reference to Don-C: The monotone colorway seems to be a reference to Don-C’s Jordan Legacy 312, a sneaker she listed as one of her favorites in a 2019 episode of Sneaker ShoppingShe would go on to hint at the collaboration. “It’s insane to think about it. I grew up not being able to afford it and now I’m working with the people who created it.”

Earlier this week, leaked images from Sole Retriever revealed that Billie Eilish, Nike and Jordan Brand have begun penning down ideas for a future collaboration. This is further corroborated by pop-culture watchdog @deuxmoi account, which shared images of a DM from an industry insider.

Not their first collab: Eilish has worked with Nike before, appearing in a Swoosh-produced interview titled “Talking Trash”. In it, she shared her views on the growing sustainability movement and why it’s incredibly important to her.

This collaboration has been a long time coming for the pop-culture icon. Often seen in baggy, oversized fits paired with rare or luxury sneakers, Eilish’s unmistakable fashion sense draws tons of inspiration from streetwear.

Considering her social activism and unique fashion sensibilities, our best guess is that Eilish’s Air Jordan 1 KO is likely sustainably made and might accompany a collection that would enable her fans to replicate her style.
