Vintage Nike gets a modern revival this month courtesy of streetwear’s latest go-to brand, Cactus Plant Flea Market. The label was already hot among celebrities since its establishment in 2015 by Pharrell William’s assistant, Cynthia Liu. Understandably, questions were raised about the origins of the New York-based brand when it quietly arrived onto the fashion landscape. But now, Cactus Plant Flea Market has grown from mysterious brand to serial collaborator with Nike, no less. This month, the two brands embarked on their newest collaborative effort – a six-piece Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike apparel capsule.
The lookbook for the Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike collection dropped on social media, previewing a mix of apparel that bear the indie label’s distinctive DIY-aesthetic. The sportswear collection features track pants, hockey jerseys and crewneck shirts, among others, styled with oversized graphics and the playful use of Nike’s “Just Do It” slogan.
The latest offering is also an extension of the brands’ third collaboration footwear – the recently-released Air Force 1s featuring oversized Air More Uptempo side panel detailing. If you managed to cop the highly anticipated sneakers, then you should set your sights on the Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike apparel collection next to complete the look.
No further details are available at the moment. Stay tuned for more information nearer to the launch date on October 28.
