“Captain America” Actor Chris Evans to Retire Marvel Role

Captain America actor Chris Evans will give up his role and leave the Marvel Cinematic Universe sometime in 2019.

We may all be left with only two more movies to catch Chris Evans in the famous superhero suit

Captain America introduced the US$14.7 billion blockbuster to the world as the very first avenger.

Actor Chris Evans will soon see his days in his hero suit numbered. In an interview with The New York Times, the actor mentioned that the final reshoots for the fourth Avenger movie this fall will be his last – as per his deal with Marvel. “You want to get off the train before they push you off”, said the actor.

Finding a replacement for the character will be an immense task. But perhaps a replacement might not even be needed if Captain America dies in battle.

While it’s no secret that the actor is leaving, we won’t know the fate of Captain America until the fourth Avengers movie set to release in 2019. The move will see Evans in his last role as “The Cap”.

Only time will tell but before it all comes to an end. We have the third Avengers movie to look forward to this April – with some of the cast members heading to Singapore to promote the movie.
