Cheftains: Cook Like A Pro

Your days of avoiding potlucks or never wanting to host at home because you’re such a poor cook are over. With Cheftains, you’ll want to cook, and you’ll be cooking well too.

Seriously, we made this Seafood Paella ourselves

Your days of avoiding potlucks or never wanting to host at home because you’re such a poor cook are over. With Cheftains, a unique catering service that delivers to your doorstep fresh, pre-portioned ingredients, along with easy-to-follow step-by-step recipes, you’ll want to cook, and you’ll be cooking well too.

Cheftains offers six dishes weekly, and these six dishes are switched up every week. Prices range from S$11 to S$26 per serving, depending on the complexity of the dish and cost of ingredients required.

Cheftains offers hearty and healthy gourmet salads such as the Fennel, Radicchio, Apple Salad with Tofu and Pecans

With Cheftains, you’ll be dishing out impressive food like Seafood Paella and Coq Au Vin Blanc (that’s chicken braised in white wine for the uninitiated), to name a few. Vegetarian options are available through gourmet salads such as the Fennel, Radicchio, Apple Salad with Tofu and Pecans, Spicy Roasted Cauliflower and Kale Salad, and more. Desserts are also starting to make an appearance on the weekly menu.

What we like about Cheftains is the consideration that goes toward the cooking facilities of Asian households. Not every Asian household owns an oven, which is why it’s great that Cheftains’ dishes can be re-created at home using either an oven or the humble frying pan. For desserts, so far, it has released two no-bake recipes: a fridge chilled Dark Chocolate Tofu Mousse and an Organic Tofu Cheesecake with a Wobbly Strawberry Jelly.

You can also kiss hurried trips to the supermarket after work goodbye. With Cheftains, all you need to do is get yourself home, put all the ingredients together, and enjoy a delicious home-cooked gourmet meal. No rush, no fuss. Cheftains also keeps food wastage to a minimal – you won’t have to whip up three more dishes that contain parsley to finish up the punnett of parsley you bought.

In an age where the #foodporn rules and eating really well is super trendy, cooking is cool. So if you’re no natural-born Jamie Oliver or Martha Stewart, then get with the program, and sign up for Cheftains’ menu mailing list now. While the Cheftains website hasn’t gone live yet, they have begun taking orders.
