#StraatSpots Vol. 3: The Hottest Sneakers Spotted at Culture Cartel 2018

StraatSpots returns with Vol. 3 featuring the freshest sneakers spotted on the coolest people at Culture Cartel 2018.

This edition features the latest sneaker releases, some of the rarest pairs and even a custom by Mr. Stash himself.

The inaugural Culture Cartel convention showed us some of the coolest toys, tattoos, artworks, and sneakers seen this year. Held at the F1 Pit Building, the event saw massive set-ups by Mighty Jaxx, Limited Edt, ASICS Tiger and many more. But while there were an endless array of things to check out at Culture Cartel 2018, take a look at some of the hottest sneakers spotted on attendees featured here on StraatSpots Vol. 3.

1. Convention Rookie Of The Year?

Michael Jordan is arguably the best basketball player to ever play the sport, winning many accolades including the Rookie Of The Year award. With this being the first ever Culture Cartel, these Air Jordan 1 “Rookie Of The Year” sneakers are somewhat apt.

2. The Fan Favourite

The original “Ten” by Off-White and Nike still seem to be the favorite amongst the crowd, with many pairs of the original colorways seen at Culture Cartel. Here we see the Off-White x Nike Air Presto. Is Nike x Off White the best collaboration in history?

3. Who Let The Animals Out?

These Nike Air Max 95 x atmos “Safari” definitely stood out amongst the concrete floors and walls. The lace swap was a nice touch too.

4. These left many Brain Dead

Culture Cartel had a whole tattoo section of the second floor just for people to get inked. Tattoo artist Gabriel De Souza (@wolfsloth_) was giving ink at the event while having some mad prints on his feet. These Brain Dead x Converse Chuck 70s are definitely in the running for sneaker of the year. Gabriel even paired these crazy kicks with a crazier tie-dye Flatbush Zombies tee.

5. Not Just For The Streets.

With one of the more unique spots of the weekend, we caught these Vetements x Dr. Martens collaboration. Featuring a zipper closure system instead of the classic lacing system, these definitely bridges streetwear and high fashion.

6. Hello there, U.N.L.K.E.

A piece of Nike SB history was on show as we were lucky enough to catch the Nike SB “Unkle” for StraatSpots Vol. 3. With the artwork done by Futura, these are one of the most coveted Nike SBs. Is 2019 going to be the year of Nike SB?

7. Walking On CLOTs

A rarity, even at sneaker events, these CLOT x Nike Air Force 1s dropped earlier this year with a Chinese New Year theme. If you look closely, the toe box and middle panel has been torn away to show the second layer underneath.

8. Some LaFlames on the feet

Travis Scott has been killing it this year, with multiple Jordan and Nike releases, and more on the way. Here we find his Air Jordan 4 “Cactus Jack”, definitely one of the hottest releases of the year.

9. Everything’s a Canvas

These Sean Pablo x Converse CONS Chuck Taylor All Star Pros are a representation of the event. Art can be found on almost anywhere, be it toys, walls, cars and of course, sneakers. These sneakers are definitely a piece of art.

10. Mr. Stash Does It His Way

Mr. Stash added his own personal touch to these Nike x Comme des Garçons ACG Mowabb by dyeing them his Stash Blue. Fun fact: When things get a bit dry at home, he just starts dipping random stuff he finds in his signature Stash Blue.
