The second week of January brings a slew of court sneakers, both modern and classic. On one end of the spectrum, we see the newly launched Curry 7 in a Chinese New Year commemorative colorway and on the other, a special Air Jordan XIII. The retro Jordan takes an OG black and white colorway and inverts it to create a sleek new colorway for Jordan fans to rock. Here is our round-up of the sneakers dropping in the second week of January.
Adidas x Reebok Instapump Fury Boost
January 10
This collaboration fuses Adidas’ best midsole technology with Reebok’s most iconic sneaker. The outcome: an “ultimate running machine”, as described by its creator Steven Smith. The shoes feature the tech-fueled, futuristic uppers of the Instapump atop Boost midsoles. To pay homage to the original sneaker, the Adidas x Reebok Instapump Fury Boost comes in an OG colorway – full black uppers with a hint of Pantone purple. You can join the END draw at the link below.

Under Armour Steph Curry 7 “Chinese New Year”
January 10
In recognition of basketball’s growing popularity in China, Steph Curry is releasing a special edition of his Curry 7 for Chinese New Year. The sneaker draws inspiration from the classic style of Chinese painting called guóhuà. The neutral grey uppers are beautifully embellished with a painted blooming peony at the heel caps while the small hit of gold on the midsoles add a touch of luxury. You can get these sneakers at Under Armour’s website or at their stores in Bugis Junction and Orchard Central.

Air Jordan XIII “Black/Gym Red”
January 11
The Air Jordan XIII first dropped in 1997, as MJ was chasing down his sixth championship. Almost immediately, the sneaker was absorbed into pop culture, becoming a regular rotation for stars and rappers alike. To pay homage to the original colorway, the “Black/Gym Red” colorway inverts the black and white panels to create an interesting new take on the retro sneaker. Hits of red on the toe boxes, tongues and insoles help to bring the sneaker back to Chicago. You can cop a pair at the Nike SNKRS site.
