David Lynch has announced that he plans to retire from film-making.

In an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald, David Lynch has declared that he will not be planning to continue making movies.

“Things changed a lot,” he said. “So many films were not doing well at the box office even though they might have been great films and the things that were doing well at the box office weren’t the things that I would want to do.”

When asked whether Inland Empire, released in 2006, was his last ever feature, he answered: “Yes it is.”
