To honor the lives of the dead, creatives and artists from both Singapore and Mexico will come together this Saturday to celebrate the Day of the Dead with traditional Mexican music, art, and food.
For the first time ever, a live Mariachi band will be present at the event. The Mexican Folkloric Ballet, a traditional dance troupe, will also be there entertain you.
You won’t want to miss out on the art exhibition either. Inspired by the late Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, the exhibition serves to commemorate her 110th birth anniversary. Artists such as Aeropalmics (SG) and Bettsy Garcia Montijo (MX) will have their works on display.
To keep you satiated throughout the event, a variety of mouth-watering Mexican dishes will also be served. Prepared lovingly by local Mexican restaurants, expect popular Mexican foods such as tacos, quesadillas, tamales, elotes, and more.
The event will take place at the Old Beach Road Police Station (99 Beach Road). The day’s program run from 1pm to 11pm, and admission is free for all.
