Here’s How to Download the Original StarCraft Game for Free

Legal Life Hack: Never pay for the original StarCraft game again!

To celebrate the release of StarCraft: Remastered, Blizzard Entertainment is giving the original StarCraft game away for free.

StarCraft, everyone’s favorite computer game from the 90s, is back. The military strategy sci-fi game follows the galactic struggles of four different alien species – the future humans a.k.a. the Terrans, the Zerg insect race, the “god-like” Xel’Naga, and perhaps the most alien of them all, the Protoss.

According to The Verge, the game received critical acclaim after its launch in 1998. It was particularly popular in South Korea.

The free download will include the game’s Brood Wars expansion pack and several updates such as “improved compatibility” with Windows 7, 8.1, and 10, as well as an improved anti-cheat game system reports TechCrunch.

Those interested can download the original game and its Brood Wars expansion pack (Windows) for free here. There’s also a Mac version available here. PS: The download will begin immediately.

StarCraft: Remastered is rumored to be released later this year and will include vivid 4K graphics and modern additions such as 13 different installed languages and is also fit of LAN and modern online play. Gaming party anyone? Check out the trailer here.
