Sporty & Rich is the brainchild of Emily Oberg, serving as a vehicle for her creative expression. Since its inception, Sporty & Rich has grown to become a magazine, a streetwear label, and even a creative agency, and it doesn’t seem to be stopping at just that. For now, at least, Oberg continues to push the streetwear aspect of the brand by releasing an all-new collection featuring sweaters, t-shirts, shorts, caps, and bags.
This first of three unisex collections sees Oberg doing what she does best – keeping it simple. Coming in bright colors like green, pink and white, many of the tops feature the Sporty & Rich type logo on the front that has either been embroidered or screen printed on. The highlight in this collection though is the SRWC grey crewneck that comes with the new health and wellness club logo.
Oberg has taken steps to steer her brand towards a more environmentally-friendly direction. She’s picked US-based manufacturers that are committed to sustainability and that pay fair wages. And as part of her efforts to reduce wastage, the collection will be sold on a made-to-order basis.
The prices of the pieces range between US$18 (approx. S$24) and US$150 (approx. S$203) and can be copped on the Sporty & Rich website today. Expect the second and third collections to arrive on 16 August and 20 September respectively.
