Nike dominates the drops this week, a small break from the massive Adidas releases throughout this month.

As we creep closer to October, Nike returns with some heavy drops to compete against the nonstop Yeezy drops we saw this month . They come in swinging with a warehouse-inspired AJ1, savage Air Max 90 and a much loved Nike Gyakusou Pegasus 65 trail. If you haven’t copped any of the latest Yeezys yet, you have a final chance with the Yeezy Boost 700 V2 “Hospital”. Ready to get a sneaker to close off September? Here are the details of this week’s drops.

Air Jordan 1 “First Class Flight”
September 26

The new Jordan 1 draws inspiration from the Beaverton shipping department at Nike HQ, where our favorite Jordans ship out from. Dressed in minimalist color blocking, the sneaker bears clear references to the logistics behind our favorite drops. This includes shipping tag inspired prints on the medial side of the ankle collar and bar codes on the heel cap of the sneaker. This largely slept on Jordans stays true to its heritage, with the classic Nike Air tab on the tongue and high top design. Combined with the perforated leather upper and little details referencing Michael Jordan’s career stats, this new Air Jordan 1 pays homage to its namesake’s career and the warehouse that ships out his iconic sneakers.

The new Nike x Gyakusou Trail SP stays true to the Nike Gyakusou promise – to innovate and create shoes with runners in mind. Their take on the Pegasus 36 trail is heavily inspired by the 70s running revolution, with a bright red colorway and a rose print on the lateral swoosh that symbolizes the relationship between balance and chaos. The running shoe is built to be ideal for any runner, from competitive marathoners to casual joggers. To fit these various needs, the shoe has special overlays to provide added support and a quick-drying mesh. The shoe also features a quick lacing system for any mid-run adjustments plus a more pronounced trail outsole, for added stability on any terrain.

The Air Max 90 will feature a mostly grey upper, with a playful mix of grey suede and snakeskin-like grey panel across the top of the sneaker. This is contrasted with a venom green swoosh and blush pink sock liner atop a glowing green Air Max midsole; a breathtaking combination that references nature. Anyone else feeling the anaconda vibes?
