Nike’s Air Trainer 1 has been seeing more action of late, and it’s about to gain more prominence thanks to this collaborative release with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s label, fragment design.
Following previous releases of the fragment design x Nike Air Trainer 1 for major tennis competitions like the French Open and Wimbledon, this collection will mark the start of the upcoming US Open tournament.
The fragment design x Nike Air Trainer 1 “US Open” comes in two simple colorways – tonal navy blue and all-white. The only hint that it’s a collaborative piece is in the embossed fragment design logo found on the heel.
Nike has thoughtfully included a checkered tongue logo that pays tribute to retired World No. 1 tennis player John McEnroe, who won the US Open tournament four times in his career.
Dropping on August 27th at selected Nike accounts, the fragment design x Nike Air Trainer 1 “US Open” will retail for US$150.
