Frank Ocean Goes Slow in DJ Slim K’s “Purpl(e)”

DJ Slim K of OG Ron C’s Chopstars crew is back, this time, with a Frank Ocean rework titled Purpl(e).

Frank Ocean’s long-awaited album, Blonde, has been given the #ChoppedNotSlopped treatment by DJ Slim K.

The DJ provides us with a hazy, paced down version of Frank Ocean’s Blonde this festive season. Titled Purpl(e), the reworked album is an even dreamier, slower version of the original:

This is not the first time DJ Slim K has “chopped and screwed” hip-hop. His discography also contains reworks of Young Thug’s Jeffery and J.Cole’s Forest Hills Drive, among many other iconic works.
