To celebrate 2019 NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard’s move to the Los Angeles Clippers, New Balance opened preorders for the player’s signature OMN1S in the team’s colors. The sneaker was sold out within minutes.
The highly sought after sneaker can now be found on StockX, with prices starting at US$700 and offers topping US$2,000. That’s more than a hundred times of its retail price of US$140, adding salt to the wound of anyone who missed the quick drop.

Named “Return of the Fun Guy”, the sneaker is the latest colorway for the Kawhi Leonard New Balance OMN1S. It features a royal blue mid upper with red accents on the tongue, ankle collar and laces. The OMN1S logo is embroidered on the tab at the top of the tongue. The Fuel Cell midsole has been colored blue to fit the overall colorway.
This isn’t the first time a Kawhi Leonard-inspired New Balance sneaker has sold out. To celebrate his championship win with the Toronto Raptors, New Balance dropped a Champions pack with the 997 and 990v5, which now resell on StockX for about US$300.
New Balance is having a great year, with the revamp of the OMN1S matching the success of Kawhi Leonard in 2019. Could this spell the return of New Balance into the hype space? We sure think so.
There has been no news if the OMN1S will drop in Singapore, but you can cop a pair on StockX.
