American cable channel Lifetime has released a new trailer for the Michael Jackson biopic, Searching for Neverland.
Starring self-proclaimed “world’s greatest” MJ impersonator, Navi, the biopic focuses on the final years of Jackson’s life as he struggles to balance parenthood and fame.
It even touches on the events and drama after the pop star’s sudden death. The trailer shows a scene with investigators questioning the two bodyguards (played by Chad L. Coleman and Sam Adegoke) about Dr. Conrad Murray, the doctor who administered a lethal dose of propofol to Jackson.
Given Lifetime’s penchant for unauthorized biopics, like Britney Ever After, we don’t exactly have high hopes for this film.
Searching for Neverland premieres May 29 on Lifetime. Watch the trailer above and let us know what you think.
