2005: the beginning of Vault
Limited Edt Vault was designed to be a more sophisticated sneaker store, which featured plush touches such as red velvet and intricate furnishings.
Perhaps the store’s most recognizable feature is the iconic vault door, behind which lay a treasure trove of rare and limited edition sneakers. The Vault serves as an archive of some of the most sought-after shoes ever produced, and entry (by appointment only) is reserved for VIP members and regular customers.
Sneaker pilgrims from Singapore and the world over
Most of Limited Edt’s clientele are regular sneakerheads both young and old. But the store has built a reputation for itself as a must-visit spot for tourists from around the region like Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.
The sneaker store has achieved much of its success by hosting a myriad sneaker events such as exhibitions, product launches, and ballots.
Some successful launches from its Heeren outlet include the Nike Air Max 1 ‘CLOT’ in June 2006, and the Adidas Consortium event and exhibition in June 2008 (see photos below).
2009: New ground at 313
Since moving to its new premise at 313@Somerset in 2009, Limited Edt Vault has collaborated with designers and global brands including SBTG, Puma, Reebok, New Balance, Vans, and ASICS, to name a few.
An upcoming collaboration sneakerheads can look forward to is the Adidas Consortium x Limited Edt Superstar (S$219). This luxury sneaker was created to celebrate the re-opening of the Limited Edt Vault store. It will be pre-released at the store’s official reopening this Saturday, October 21.
2017: Vault DNA taken to new heights
The new and improved Limited Edt Vault store promises a visual and interactive customer experience with modern updates, while retaining elements of its predecessor stores. And yes, the Vault is still part of the store.
The Limited Edt Vault is located at 313@Somerset #04-13/14.
