Proceeds from the Michael Jordan memorabilia auction will go to an unnamed charity. The items belong to Jordan’s close friend, Bill Schmidt.

The auction is currently being held at Steiner Auctions online. Items include a rare pair of 1994 Nike Jordan IX cleats worn and signed by Jordan himself.

Other items up for grabs include a Jordan autographed seat cover from the 1992 NBA finals and an autographed ticket to a VIP Space Jam party.

Despite the rarity of the items in the collection, the minimum bid seems relatively affordable at this point. The cheapest item on auction is a Baltimore Orioles Park All Star Game Ticket – it comes at a minimum bid of US$10 (approx. S$14).

According to Sole Collector, all the items available for auction are gifts from Jordan to Schmidt, who previously worked as the VP of Marketing of Gatorade. He was responsible for landing the athlete his Gatorade deal in 1991. You can watch the ad in the video below.
