Pre-orders for the Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition can be made via Microsoft’s online store for US$499 (approx. S$680). Items will be shipped after its launch on November 7, 2017.
Unfortunately, the product will only ship to U.S. based addresses, which means gamers living outside the U.S. will have to resort to a mail forwarding service.
What’s causing the hype surrounding this gaming console? Well, it seems it’s its looks that has to led to all this attention, reports Kotaku. The console will come packed in a graphite textured casing featuring the words “Project Scorpio Edition” in green lettering, reminiscent of the original Xbox released in November 2001.
Unlike the original Xbox, the Project Scorpio Edition will come dressed in a sleeker and slimmer casing. For a side by side comparison, view the images below:
The new console also comes with a limited edition controller with the words “Project Scorpio Edition” etched to match the console. Other features include a 1080p screen coupled with a 4K Blu-ray player that promises a smooth and immersive gaming experience.
