New Balance is releasing the 327 in two polar opposite colorways

Rumors about a New Balance 327 release have been making the rounds after images of the Casablanca collaboration surfaced.

Update: May 4, 15:50 pm (Singapore time)
The New Balance 327 will be dropping in three new colorways on May 8 at newbalance.com. The first and most recognizable colorway is the classic grey (S$179). The other two colorways are orange/blue (S$179) and black/grey/pink (S$169).

The New Balance 327 will finally get a general release in two strikingly different colorways.

Through two major collaborations, New Balance has successfully drawn attention to its latest silhouette – the 327. The sneaker’s design is heavily inspired by early runners, with its large protruding outsole pattern and streamlined aesthetics. Overall, it has a similar chunky shape and silhouette to the Sacai x Nike LDWaffle – which is not a bad look to have in 2020. Scroll on to check out the two New Balance 327 colorways that will drop very soon.

Classic Grey

One of the first colorways that will drop is the classic grey, which features a mix of plush suede and shimmery nylon on the uppers – a timeless combination New Balance has applied to most of its sneakers. To contrast the muted upper, the sneaker gets white “N” logos, laces, sock liner and tongue. Emphasizing its retro inspiration, the upper sits atop of a slightly yellowed midsole and rough black outsole.

Blue/Orange

The blue/orange colorway goes in the other direction, creating a super bright and attention-grabbing sneaker. This New Balance 327 is split right down the middle, with the lateral side coming in royal blue and yellow, while the medial side is orange and white. It’s an unusual color combination from a brand that generally keeps its GR sneakers muted and simple.

The sneakers do not have a drop date set yet, so stay tuned for updates on a Singaporean release.
