The Nike Breaking2 documentary is the story of three long distant runners, Lelisa Desisa, Eliud Kipchoge and Zersenay Tadese, and their attempt to finish a marathon under two hours.

Despite their best efforts, the project ultimately came up short. Of the three runners, it was 32-year-old Kipchoge who clocked the fastest time at 2:00:25.

“The film uncovers the power of human potential and explores the emotional journey that bonded these three super-athletes as they gave their all to try to make the impossible possible,” read a Nike a press release.

The heart-warming and emotional feature-length documentary not only captures the runners’ trials and tribulations, but also their day-to-day lives in eastern Africa.
