The Nike M2K Tekno gets a fresh set of materials to rock

The Nike M2K Tekno receives a material update for the new year.

Nike adds corduroy, suede and new mesh to their latest update on the M2K Tekno SP.

Fresh off the release of the Martine Rose x Nike Air Monarch IV, the swoosh is pumping out another capsule collection of dad shoes. The Nike M2K Tekno SP is considered the younger brother of the Air Monarch IV, with the silhouette only launching in 2018. Heavily inspired by the Monarch, the M2K Tekno features many similarities to its predecessor, with its bulky upper and high profile midsole. Now, the M2K Tekno kicks off 2019 with a slew of new colorways and materials.

The three new colorways — grey, olive and brown — each boasts their own unique materials. The grey pair will feature leather overlays accented by corduroy panels in a mostly tonal colorway, while the olive pair makes use of a sultry suede all throughout the upper and features a black midsole. Finally, the tan pair will make use of a more classic combination of materials, taking on a suede and mesh mix. However, it is noteworthy that the mesh looks unlike what we’re used to, so expect a different kind of feeling when holding the shoes in hand. The brown pair also features two contrasting shades of brown, with wheat found on the tongue and toe box while the rest of the sneaker is dressed in khaki.
