END Launches
@J23app took to Twitter to share official images of the highly anticipated Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 sneakers. While leaks of the sneakers had already circulated online months ago, these new images just mean it’s time to get excited again. The highlight of this collaboration has got to be the wear-away concept, which uncovers another colorway underneath with regular use. The Lance Mountain x Air Jordan 1 collaboration of 2014 also featured the same concept. Take a closer look at the sneakers in the gallery below.
Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 “Light Bone/Crimson Tint”
This colorway sports a clean black and grey top layer that’s instantly wearable with anything. Wearing it down will reveal brighter hues, with the initial black parts of the sneaker making way for a pink color, while the grey hides an orange tint. Clearly, it’s a pair that’s perfect for those who can’t decide between neutral and bold colors. The only catch – once you go bold, you can never go back.
Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 “Lakers/Chicago”
This Los Angeles Lakers color scheme features a white toe box and side panels with Purple overlays. Completing the Lakers theme are yellow-colored Swoosh logos and ankle collar. For Jordan heads, you’ll be excited to know that the sneaker will wear away into the revered white and red Chicago colorway. The biggest dilemma of all might just be resisting the temptation to rub off the top layer of the sneaker right away and letting it gradually wear down instead.
Mark your calendars as the Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 collaboration sneakers will launch on May 25. Keep tabs on this page for further updates on a local release.
