Comfort is key: Nike has applied Vaporweave, an engineered mesh, to the upper which makes it softer and more breathable. Additional pockets of padding are added to the tongue to reduce lace pressure and improve fit.

Improving containment and durability are new reinforcements around the forefoot of the runner.

Tried-and-tested midsole: Nike leaves the Vaporfly Next% midsole untouched. Its mix of carbon fibre plates, ZoomX foam and wide forefoot offer up the sneaker’s signature responsiveness and impact protection. Improving stability and energy return is an 8mm offset from heel to toe.

Final note: Built for avid runners, the Vaporfly Next% 2 offers up a more comfortable construction paired with familiar performance technologies that make this a go-to choice for many. With the new comfort-oriented design, the Vaporfly Next% 2 could be a viable choice for runners looking to wear one sneaker for all their runs and errands.
