We have just been informed that the Off-White store slated to open at Starhill Gallery, Bukit Bintang, will be a pop-up store and not a permanent Off-White store.
The pop-up boutique will be open for six months from its opening date in December 2017.
A representative from Starhill Gallery told Straatosphere that the store is estimated to open sometime in December this year. Other details remain scarce at this point.
The opening was first reported by Masses on Thursday, November 9. Off-White Malaysia also also posted a teaser on its Instagram page that same day (post above).
This is a pretty exciting development considering that prior to this, Malaysians only had retail access to Off-White products via the Isetan, the Japan Store KL, which only carried a small selection of items from the brand.
The Off-White Malaysia store will be the second Off-White boutique in South East Asia. The first, located in Singapore, opened its doors in September 2016. The Singapore store celebrated its official launch with a meet-and-greet session with Off-White founder and designer, Virgil Abloh.
Off-White fans can expect to see a wider selection of accessories, bags, and t-shirts, and, possibly even Malaysian exclusives.
As always, we will update this article with more information and updates closer to the store’s launch.
Meanwhile, you can keep up with Off White Malaysia (@off___white__malaysia) and Starhill Gallery (@starhillgallery) on Instagram.
Starhill Gallery is located at 181 Bukit Bintang Street, Kuala Lumpur 55100.
