The Off-White Air Jordan 4 appeared alongside Virgil’s more high-end creations.
In the wake of Virgil Abloh’s massive Air Jordan 5 drop over All-Star weekend and the announcement of his next AJ5 colorway, the designer is showing no signs of slowing down. His latest cream colored Off-White x Nike Air Jordan 4 made its debut on the Off-White Women’s FW20 runway at Paris Fashion Week.
The Off-White Air Jordan 4 retains a lot of Virgil’s signature design cues, but moves away from the deconstructed look.
The sneaker is a clear deviation from Virgil’s signature deconstructed style, exuding a cleaner look than usual. Cream-colored suede seems to be the material of choice, wrapping the uppers and color-matching the plastic overlays at the mudguard, translucent outsoles and shoelaces, which bear the familiar “Shoelaces” embroidery at the tip.
To keep a neutral tone, the plastic cage on the tongue, medial panel, lace eyelets and “Nike Air” heel tab appear foggy and somewhat translucent. Moving a little lower, we see the famous ‘Air’ print above the exposed Air unit.
Alongside the usual Off-White tag, the Air Jordan 4 now comes with the Jumpman Air tag, a first for his collaboration with Nike. This too is matched with the cream colors of the uppers.
The sneaker’s colorway matches the color palette of the Off-White FW20 collection.
Since the sneaker made its debut on the women’s runway, the Off-White x Nike Air Jordan 4 may likely be a women’s exclusive sneaker. No details have been released on a drop date, so stay tuned for updates!
