Offspring has teamed up with Converse once again to unveil two new iterations of the iconic Chuck 70 model. The pack consists of a black low-top version as well as an all-white high-top. Both pairs come outfitted with slightly translucent midsoles that have been emblazoned with contrasting lightning graphics all around. The lightning motif also appears alternately with the Converse logo on the laces of this pack. As a final touch, both shoes’ first eyelets come embroidered with the Offspring head logo outline.
That’s not all. There’s a reason why Offspring has named their latest collaboration the “Community” pack. Early this year, Offspring had sought their community’s participation in designing special edition Velcro patches for the shoes. These patches would replace the usual Converse heel badge for the white high-tops in particular. Offspring has selected three winning designs, but we can only expect to see them closer to their official launch.
The Offspring Converse Chuck 70 “Community” pack is set to be released on August 10. There is no pricing or release information for Asia yet. Stay tuned for more details.
