Partners in Rhyme documentary, released yesterday, features rare behind the scenes footage of the making of Infinite, Eminem’s first studio album. The release marks the 20th anniversary of Infinite.

Featuring behind the scenes footage and rare interviews, Eminem’s longtime collaborators, the Bass Brothers, pieced together a short film chronicling the creation of Infinite.

In addition to the Partners in Rhyme documentary, the Bass Brothers have also released a remastered and remixed version of the album’s title track, “Infinite”.

“It’s kind of a polished, raw track. It’s pretty much the same record, but better sounding, newer sounding, with the quality of later Eminem stuff”, said Bass in an interview with the Rolling Stones.

The remixed “Infinite” track will also be released in limited edition 7-inch vinyl singles, though release dates have yet to be announced.

Partners in Rhymes will be a fascinating look into the making of an album that incidentally was a flop in 1996. Hard to imagine, considering Em is one of the most prominent rappers this generation has known.
