Pharrell Gets His Own Signature Sneaker

adidas throws up a new sneaker silhouette for Pharrell Williams, the brand ambassador who contributed to its strong sales.

Despite the Yeezy Boost hype, it was Pharrell’s range of sneakers that made up the lion’s share of adidas’ revenue. The musician now gets rewarded with his own signature sneaker.

Pharrell led adidas to its most profitable year yet. Sales of the Superstar saw a marked increase, in part due to his 50-color Superstar Supercolor Pack. For all his effort, adidas has created a signature silhouette for the multi-hyphenate superstar.

Known as the adidas Originals PW ZX333, the sneaker comes from the ZX famiily of runners that first gained popularity in the 80s and 90s.

It features a neoprene construction and comes in a teal colorway (for now). Pharrell has wasted no time in showing off his fresh new kicks and busting out some moves on Instagram.

No word yet on when these sneakers are expected to drop. Rachel Muscat, Global Director of Collaborations at adidas Originals, told Billboard that there’s “some very exciting stuff coming out in May”. Keep a lookout when the month swings around.
