PSY Drops a New Music Video That’s Literally Full of Himself

PSY is back with a new music video for his latest single “Daddy”, taken off his seventh album.

Korean rapper PSY is back with a new single “Daddy”, which he wrote with American rapper Will.i.am of The Black Eyed Peas. If you find parts of the song familiar, it’s because it samples Will.i.am’s hit song, “I Got It From My Mama”.

There’s no denying that key to the success of PSY’s music are his outlandish music videos, and the MV for “Daddy” is another such. Featuring his crazy antics and slick dance moves, it even features his face superimposed on younger and older versions of himself, which is creepy and cool at the same time.

Having beautiful women make cameo appearances in his MVs is also another tactic PSY employs to create more hype. “Daddy” stars Korean singer CL and actress Ha Ji-won, and while we won’t know yet if “Daddy” will go viral like “Gangnam Style” did, it doesn’t really matter to PSY, who told the press that he has gotten over the initial pressure of trying to make a song that would surpass “Gangnam Style”.

“Daddy” is taken off PSY’s seventh and latest album, Chiljip PSY-Da, which is Korean for “This Is PSY’s Seventh Album”.

Give “Daddy” a listen and keep your eye out for the viewcount, which at the time of writing, has already surpassed three million views. Pretty impressive for a video that was just uploaded yesterday.
