When street culture meets red carpet glam.
The stunning sneaker designs were unveiled earlier today on Reebok’s Instagram stories. Designer Isaac Toonkel describes the fashion pieces spotted at the 2017 Met Gala as breathtaking and a great source of inspiration for projects.
A total of five sneaker artworks were unveiled, all of which were inspired by some of the most memorable looks from the 2017 Met Gala. Toonkel’s sources of sneaker inspiration stemmed from actresses Blake Lively and Lena Dunham, musicians Katy Perry and Solange Knowles, as well as model Gigi Hadid.
“My favorite is the Classic Leather that was based on this black and white winter parka dress,” says Toonkel. “The juxtaposition between the puffed upper and the Classic Leather shoes is fun and eccentric.”
