Rick Owens puts a utilitarian spin on Birkenstock’s iconic sandals

The Rick Owens x Birkenstock SS19 collaboration mixes laidback vibes with a premium designer touch.

This is the second collection from the two brands, after first teaming up last year.

‘Conventional’ has no place in the design language of Rick Owens, and it shows in the the Rick Owens x Birkenstock SS19 collaboration. The collection features five renditions of Birkenstock’s iconic two-strap sandals. The sandals bear touches of the designer’s eccentric vision, coming in various metallic finishes with buckle and rubber velcro straps, while still maintaining the lightness and eco-friendly makeup of the sandal. Prices start from S$439.
