Snoop Dogg is Working on a Gospel Album

Hallelujah! Because a Snoop Dogg gospel album is in the works.

Snoop Dogg revealed his desire to release a gospel album in a recent interview with Beats 1.

The ‘Doggfather’ said gospel music has always been on his heart, and it’s something that he has been wanting to make for years.

“I just never got around to it because I always be doing gangsta business or doing this or doing that,” said Snoop. “I just felt like it’s been on my heart too long. I need to do it now.”

No word on when his new album will be ready, but he already has some collaborators in mind. They include Faith Evans, Charlie Wilson, and Jeff Osborne.

For those unaware, this isn’t the first time that Snoop has changed his creative direction. He previously released a reggae-centered album under the moniker ‘Snoop Lion’. His new album, Neva Left, was also launched just last week.
