Last week, Gokul Venkatachalam won the Scripps National Spelling Bee at the age of 14. That, however, is not the reason why he’s on the receiving end of digital fame. Venkatachalam is in fact a sneakerhead and has been seen rocking some heat throughout the competition.
Venkatchalam lifted the spelling bee trophy together with fellow contestant Vanya Shivashankar after correctly spelling the word “nunatak” in style with a fresh pair of Air Jordan 11 “Legend Blue”.
This is not the first year Venkatchalam has joined a spelling bee competition, and turns out he has rocked some pretty stylish kicks on stage over the past year. Check it out:
