StraatBeats Vol. 4: Bangers from Kodak Black, Quavo, Coi Leray, slowthai and Lil Pump

StraatBeats Vol. 4 delivers the freshest and hardest hitting tracks for the week.

This week’s curation includes tracks from Kodak Black, Quavo, Coi Leray, slowthai and Lil Pump.

  1. ZEZE – Kodak Black (ft. Travis Scott & Offset)

It is finally here. Kodak recruits Travis Scott and Offset for what may be the most infectious beat of 2018. With tropical rising keys and heavy 808s and basslines, we will be hearing ZEZE a lot in the coming months.

2.  Huddy – Coi Leray

Coi Leray delivers a heavy-hitting track as her vocals flow over the bouncy beat about how she’s the girl every boy wants. Braggadocious and in your face, Leray is definitely going to bring the clubs down with this track.

3. Multi Millionaire (ft. Lil Uzi Vert) – Lil Pump

Lil Pump raps about his wealth on his latest track with Lil Uzi Vert. Like every Pump song, this tune is another infectious one, what with its repetitive repetition of the phrase “multi millionaire” the whole chorus.

4. holding on (ft. Jess Connelly) – P-Lo

P-Lo, a Filipino-American rapper hailing from California, has been under the radar for the past couple of years. With piercing synth hits, body-shaking 808s and lyrics about how he is so irresistible, this West Coast influenced track is one for the chill sesh with the crew or with your partner. He contracts the help of Jess Connelly, a Filipino RnB singer based in Manila who lends her voice to a verse on the song. A definite modern LA tune.

5. STOOPID – 6ix9ine & Bobby Shmurda

6ix9ine never fails to produce bangers, with his now iconic scream rap style. Somehow or other, he was able to recruit Bobby Shmurda, who is currently incarcerated and is only going to be released in 2020. Shmurda’s verse sounds like it was was recorded using an old Nokia phone, which only adds to the hype of this release.

5. RERUN (ft. Travis Scott) – Quavo

Released after two years in anticipation, Quavo’s solo project is filled with bangers. An immediate standout track is “RERUN” in which he enlists the talent of Travis Scott. Recorded at the same time as the songs for Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho, the tune brings the beat synonymous with Travis while Quavo’s velvety flow brings the track to life.

7. Understood – Mick Jenkins

In this track, Mick Jenkins raps over a Kaytranada produced beat about the hustle to make it to the top. With an unusual sample but with that soulful Kaytranada touch and Jenkins’ slick flow, this is a tune for the hangout with the crew.

8. Mando (ft. Mozzy) – $stupid Young

It might not get more West Coast as $tupid Young raps about the struggles of gang life in this boom-bap track. With an easy to remember chorus and bouncy beat, it is going to be “Mando” to listen to this track in the clubs.

9. Fall Off (ft. JME) – Big Zuu

Big Zuu recruits grime OG JME for this heavy hitting grime track. Rapping about how he is on the rise and there isn’t anyone who can stop him, Big Zuu flows effortlessly in this tune.
