The LA premiere of the highly anticipated N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton attracted attendees from both within and outside the hip-hop circle.
Hip-hop’s biggest stars, from Kendrick Lamar to Snoop Dogg, showed up to pay tribute to hip-hop group N.W.A at the premiere of its biopic Straight Outta Compton. The N.W.A crew walked the red carpet along with their family members, some of whom were cast in the show.
Ab-Soul and Schoolboy Q were in attendance, along with The Game and Common, who tweeted his approval to his legion of fans (below). Tyrese Gibson, Xzibit and former One Direction member Zayn Malik were some of the other famous faces.
While Straight Outta Compton opens in theaters across USA on Friday, there are currently no known screening dates for Singapore, which leads us to believe the movie will not be shown in this side of town.
Straight Outta Compton traces the formation of N.W.A and the controversies the group stirred up. Past members of the influential hip-hop group are Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren, DJ Yella, Arabian Prince, and the late Eazy-E.
