If the bright colors of the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 827 isn’t for you, Thisisneverthat’s take might be more up your alley. The Korean streetwearput a military spin on the 90s runner. The chunky sneaker is muted down and simplified to fit into the minimalistic collection created by the duo.
The sneaker will drop in two simple colorways – triple black or camel-brown. The uppers will be constructed from premium suede dotted with 3M accents. To emphasize the sporty outdoors inspiration, the sneaker will also come with rope laces in matching tones. The Thisisneverthat x New Balance 827 will drop on April 4 at the New Balance online store, New Balance Paragon, New Balance Bugis and Limited Edt Vault 313. They will retail for S$169.
The Thisisneverthat x New Balance 827s will accompany the military-inspired daily apparel collection. The comfort-focused collection includes hoodies, pullovers, tees, cargo shorts, socks and bucket hats. Each item is embossed with oversized “NB x Thisisneverthat” logos that are either color-matched or set atop reflective patches for a very 90s vibe.
Everything is made from very soft terrycloth, dyed in white, olive green or faded black – making it a good pairing with the Thisisneverthat x New Balance 827. The collection is slated to drop in April. Stay tuned for more updates.
