When we think of Nike’s SB line, the first thing that comes to mind is the SB Dunk. But did you know that the Dunk has been around way before the SB line adopted it? The OG Dunk – with its flat tongues and flat laces – dropped in 1985, while Nike SB was only launched in 1998. Long before Travis Scott, Off-White and StrangeLove Skateboard propelled the sneaker into popularity, the Dunk Low was already a low key flex of OG sneakerheads.
Staying true to the original Dunks, both sneakers will come wrapped in full leather uppers shaped similarly to the originals. Scroll on to learn more about each sneaker.
Nike Dunk Low “Syracuse”
First unveiled on Don C’s Instagram, the sneaker is based on Syracuse University’s team colors – orange and white. This colorway first dropped as a Dunk High in 1985 in a super limited run, making it a highly coveted grail.
Nike Dunk Low “Kentucky”
Leaked images of the Nike Dunk Low “Kentucky” have been making its rounds on social media. The rumors proved true when Devin Brooker rocked a pair over All-Star weekend. The low top sneaker sees full leather uppers covered in the Wildcats’ team colors – white and royal blue.
The sneakers are rumored to drop sometime in March 2020, but drop dates for Singapore have yet to be released. Stay tuned for more updates.
