Nike unveils two retro colorways of the Dunk Low in “Be True To Your School” pack

Nike’s “Be True To Your School” pack revives two fan-favorite colors of the Dunk Low.

The two colorways from the “Be True To Your School” pack first dropped way too long ago, and was what drew OG sneakerheads to the Dunk Low.

When we think of Nike’s SB line, the first thing that comes to mind is the SB Dunk. But did you know that the Dunk has been around way before the SB line adopted it? The OG Dunk – with its flat tongues and flat laces – dropped in 1985, while Nike SB was only launched in 1998. Long before Travis Scott, Off-White and StrangeLove Skateboard propelled the sneaker into popularity, the Dunk Low was already a low key flex of OG sneakerheads.

The OG SB Dunk Hi “Kentucky” dropped in 1985.

Staying true to the original Dunks, both sneakers will come wrapped in full leather uppers shaped similarly to the originals. Scroll on to learn more about each sneaker.

Nike Dunk Low “Syracuse”

First unveiled on Don C’s Instagram, the sneaker is based on Syracuse University’s team colors – orange and white. This colorway first dropped as a Dunk High in 1985 in a super limited run, making it a highly coveted grail.
