Paul “P-Rod” Rodriguez’s new Dunk has surfaced on social media via Instagram account @woganwodeyang featuring a “What The “design theme that incorporates elements from his prior Nike collabs.

Completely asymmetrical: The “What The P-Rod” Dunks are entirely asymmetrical. Every panel is different from the left to the right foot yet tastefully incorporating elements from P-Rod’s creations.

P-Rod injected additional hits of his Mexican heritage into the sneaker. At the forefoot of the right pair is a pattern derived from traditional blankets and surrounding it is a detail inspired by traditional Mexican embroideries.

For bolstered comfort, both sides of the sneaker are lined with quilted sock liners that first appeared on the Nike SB Paul Rodriguez 2.

P-Rod first hinted at the development of his Dunk on the Complex Sneakers Podcast, sharing that the sneaker will be incredibly storied and hoped fans would enjoy the Easter eggs he has incorporated into the design.

Final note: The level of detail and cultural reference that P-Rod and Nike were able to squeeze into a single “What The” sneaker is a sight to behold. Unlike prior “What The” sneakers, which often merge anywhere from three to five colorways, the Nike SB Dunk “What The P-Rod” infused almost every sneaker he has created into one loud cohesive design. If you are a fan of P-Rod and love his storied history with Nike, you need to cop these potential grails.
