First worn by three-time NBA champion and basketball hall of famer James Worthy, the New Balance 740 “Worthy Express” makes a well-deserved return.
The New Balance 740 “Worthy Express” was first created and named after basketball legend James Worthy, who wore the shoes during his1983-84 season with the Los Angeles Lakers. At that time, James was the first athlete outside of professional running to be endorsed by New Balance. Now, the classic shoe from decades past is making its comeback with a reissue this season.
Retaining the original details and design, the “Worthy Express” is composed of a full-grain leather upper in the original black/white and purple/white colorways, an EVA midsole, speed lace system and snug-fit padded ankle collar.
The New Balance 740 “Worthy Express” will be released exclusively at Limited Edt on August 30th and retails for S$169.
