Nike and Adidas are both taking major risks this week, dropping unusual colorways for some of the hottest sneakers. Adidas is applying the “Tyrian” colorway to the Yeezy 500 High, which is a combination of deep blue and dark earthy brown to create an out of this world mid-cut sneaker. Nike also guns for the unusual with the Air Max 90 “Green Camo” – an unexpected take on the cult favorite “Duck Camo” colorway. Here are all the sneakers dropping this week.
ACG Moc 3.0 “Tie Dye”
May 14
The ACG Moc 3.0 might be the perfect sneaker for our quarantine life. It’s a simple slip-on sneaker attached to a comfortable outsole. Its heritage-inspired design ensures the sneaker looks good, even as you swagger around your home. The “Tie Dye” colorway is bright and bold – a cheery touch we all could use.

Nike Air Presto “Korea”
May 15
Nike dug into its archives and brought back the Nike Air Presto. The sneaker is inspired by the uniform the Korean national team was meant for the 2020 Olympics. Even though the international sporting event has been pushed to 2021, it seems Nike is going ahead with its release. The Nike Air Presto “Korea” sports a tiger stripe upper with blue and red cages on the midfoot. The Taeguki is seen on the heel cap, where the blue and red sides meet. This patriotic pair is a worthy pick up.

Air Max 90 “Green Camo”
May 16
2020 has been the year of the Air Max 90 and earlier this year, we saw the return of the “Duck Camo” Air Max 90. This week, Nike is dropping an interesting iteration of the classic “Duck Camo” design, which fuses that with the striking Volt colorway. The camouflage panels now come in hues of brown and gray set atop a neon green mesh upper. Hits of neon green can also be found on the outsole and in the Air unit. A head-turning combination.

Yeezy 500 High “Tyrian”
May 16
Kanye gives us another adventurous Yeezy, this time in the form of the 500. The Yeezy 500 High “Tyrian” drops this week and it pairs an unlikely combination of colors – cobalt blue and dark brown. The sneaker creates a mineral-in-the-dirt sort of vibe, which is interesting but may not be to everyone’s taste. Apply that to one of the most polarizing Yeezy models and we have a sneaker that you will either love or hate.

Air Jordan 1 Mid “Gym Red”
May 16
This is Nike’s new take on the “Bred” AJ1. This time, it comes in the form of the Air Jordan 1 Mid. The Air Jordan 1 Mid ” Gym Red” features the same color palette as any “Bred” Air Jordan 1 – using a mix of rich maroon, flat black and smooth white leather to construct the upper. However, the color blocking is a play on the “Bred toe” color scheme, with the red and black panels swapping places. It still achieves a classic, clean look and makes for a good sneaker for daily wear.
