The cult classic returns in another flashy collaboration with premium Italian menswear brand, Stone Island. This time, the sneakers will sport a mid-cut finish, black mesh upper – all this in addition to being water resistant.
The Nikelab Sock Dart Mid x Stone Island sneakers will come in three colorways: Black, Obsidian Bleu, and Sequoia Green and drops January 26th (US). The shoe is priced at US$200 (approx. S$283) a pair.
If you’re willing to ignore the bad press swirling around New Balance, this could be a good pair for your next #gymrun. The New Balance 247 luxe line returns with a flashy new look featuring a new mesh upper and neoprene bootie, providing both comfort and an added boost to your run performance.
The New Balance 247 Sport will come in four colorways: Bright Orange, Black, Olive, and Triple Black, February 4th (US).
Word on the street is that the next Yeezy drop will be on February 25th. The upcoming Yeezys will feature a new, Safari inspired colorway, heel pull tabs, and a reverse “SPLY-350” text along the side – much in keeping with the speculative piece on the Yeezy Zebra published on Straatosphere in December last year.
According to @YeezyMafia (via Solecollector), the sneakers will come in a yet more limited run compared to the other V2 Yeezy Boosts. YeezyMafia also predicts the Core Black/Core Red V2 Yeezy colorway will drop February 11th.
Another must-have collab to add to your sneaker collection. Reasons to cop? Adidas revamps the classic Superstar silhouette and adds to it a retooled midsole, Primeknit technology, and an NMD inspired heel tab. Not to mention that tonal gray color scheme and of course, the irresistible sound of the names of two notable Japanese streetwear brands, Bape and Neighborhood, side by side.
The Adidas Originals x Bape x Neighborhood Superstar Boost will be released February 4th (US).
Technically not a new drop but the 100-year-old Finnish brand Karhu is making waves in the sneaker industry. The obscure brand was propelled into the spotlight after Kanye West was spotted wearing their “Mount Pallas” Fusion 2.0 in Caramel Cafe/Aegen Blue, several days ago. Expect the demand for Karhu (which interestingly means “bear” in Finnish) to get bullish.
The Karhu “Mount Pallas” Fusion 2.0 will cost you US$140 (~S$193).
The Vans Old Skool has been making a comeback since 2016. The brand’s senior director of global footwear, Dabney Lee, said that the silhouette is Vans’ fastest growing shoe style (via Freshness Mag). To propel the popularity of the silhouette further, the brand enlists the help of J.Crew to update these classics through a collaboration.
The Vans x J. Crew Old Skool Suede comes in three colors: Pink Leather, Turtledove (off tonal white), and Dress Blues (navy). Priced at S$164.90 (Pink leather), and S$133.90 (suedes), these beauties are now available online.
The Mita Sneakers x New Balance “Tokyo Rat” is allegedly inspired by an urban legend of a group of rats with the energy to stay awake 24/7. The runners will come with a gray mesh upper and suede detailing in an Orange/Gray/Off-White colorway. As well as exclusive graphic insoles designed by Keita Suzuki.
The “Tokyo Rat” will be available on January 28th, exclusively at Mita Sneakers.
If, unlike this lucky bunch, you didn’t manage to cop the Nike Flyknit Racers in the Black/White colorway during previous restocks, here’s some good news: the well-loved Nike Flyknit Racer Oreo 2.0 is set to return February 10th (US) and is rumored to set your angpow stash back about US$150 (approx. S$212.40).
Drake’s October’s Very Own (OVO) teams up with Jordan Brand for a pair of sneakers made out of stingray leather. The pair will come in an all-Black colorway and is set to be released February 18th, coinciding with the 2017 NBA All-Star Weekend.
The shoe is rumored to be priced at US$225 (S$318.7); basketball powers not included.
The Vans Half Cab Spice Pack sees the classic model revamped with the use of suede on the uppers and the introduction of two new colorways: Citrus Yellow and Tandoori Spice.
Priced at US$70 (approx. S$99.14), these festive and feisty colored sneakers are now available across Vans retailers.
