News of the collaboration was first released by Twitter user @DropsByJay on Monday, December 11. According to the Twitter post (embedded above), the collection will consist of both watches and apparel. If the information is true, this will be the first time a Supreme x Rolex collab is available to the public.
An F&F collab in 2013
According to GQ, Supreme released a collab watch with Rolex in 2013. Only 20 pieces of the Rolex Submariner timepiece featuring the phrase “F*ck em” etched onto its dial were produced by Bamford Watch Department. Each was priced between US$10-12,000 (approx. S$13,515 to S$16,218). Check out a video of the watch below:
Redditors divided
As exciting as the news is, streetwear enthusiasts on Reddit are skeptical about the collaboration. While some claim that “there is no way Rolex would tarnish their brand with this nonsense”, others suggest that Twitter user @DropsByJay is a reliable source where it comes it fashion and sneaker related leaks (see a comment below).
To date, neither Supreme nor Rolex have confirmed the collaboration but, hey, never say never.
