The collaboration is inspired by the fictional AKOG Athletic Club – A Kind of Guise being a holiday hideaway, surrounded by lush greenery and the Mediterranean coastline.
The shoes will feature a Primeknit outer in beige along with patterns inspired by the ripples on a swimming pool, on the surface of the shoes. Additional details include striking yellow accents on the toe and heel of the shoes, as well as matching tonal laces. The outsoles will also feature a patterned marble look.
This isn’t the first time that the Munich based brand has collaborated with Adidas. The two brands have previously teamed up in 2015 to release a minimalist collection inspired by the city of New York and featured both apparel and sneakers (source).
In keeping with the holiday destination theme, the shoes will also come with an accompanying bright yellow towel. The words “No Worries We’ve Done This Before” can be seen emblazoned across it.
The Adidas Consortium x A Kind of Guise sneaker will be available from End Clothing beginning August 25. Click here for more information. It may be available at Limited Edt in August, but no firm release date has been announced – stay tuned for updates.
