Donovan Mitchell’s first signature Adidas shoe comes in four Marvel Superhero colorways

Adidas pays tribute to Utah Jazz’s Donovan Mitchell and his nickname “Spida” with Marvel’s Spider-Man themed colorways.

Titled D.O.N. Issue #1, which stands for Determination Over Negativity, the sneakers serve as a symbol of motivation that anything is possible.

The D.O.N. Issue #1 sneakers focus on complementing Donovan Mitchell’s prowess in speed and vertical jumps. This is done with a propulsion clip on the side that provides lateral support and an outsole that ensures greater stability when landing from greater heights. The shoes also feature Bounce cushioning to maximize comfort when hitting the gym or the courts.

The stand-out feature of these shoes is easily the four Marvel-themed colorways that they come in. There is the very familiar red, blue, and white Amazing Spider-Man colorway; the pink and black Symbiote Spider-Man colorway; the glow-in-the-dark black and green stealth Spider-Man colorway; and finally, the red and metallic gold Iron Spider colorway. Each sneaker also features webbing details across the toe box and tongue to complete the Spider-Man theme.

Another key feature is the custom coding on the upper, which represents the addresses of Brewster Academy and the University of Louisville – the two stops Mitchell took before reaching the NBA.

The D.O.N. Issue #1 will be available on Adidas.com globally on July 1. Each pair will cost US$100 (approx. S$135).
