From July 16, Adidas will reintroduce a series of Forum shoes in a set of new colorways themed Modern Varsity. The pack sees the brand modernizing the 40-year-old silhouette, incorporating the latest production methods and trends while retaining its ’80s-inspired color palette.
Inspired by the Forum’s prevalence in multiple sub-cultures, Adidas has taken an experimental approach to the design of each colorway. Each has been designed to look completely different from the rest of the pack, ensuring there’s a sneaker for every fit.

Drop the scissors: The lows will now arrive without straps which gives the silhouette a more streamlined, low-profile look. This directly addresses the social media trend earlier this year which saw sneakerheads cutting off the Velcro straps on their Forum lows.
Adidas brings the ‘80s’ back — but in a good way. All but one of the colorways will come with full leather construction and small hits of mesh for added breathability.
