In the 90s, sneakers exploded onto the scene big time. By that, we don’t just mean a torrent of sneaker releases. It was really a decade to remember, with funky colorways coming in countless shapes and forms. While footwear gained popularity (and notoriety), video games and arcades were also at the peak of their ascendancy. The upcoming Adidas x Overkill ZX 10000-C collaboration sneaker is the perfect representation of that sneaker-crazy, video games-obsessed era.
The collaboration pays homage to the video games that were all the rage when the original ZX line hit the streets. Dressed in grey suede uppers and mesh underlays, the sneaker is accented with magenta and blue detailing, which includes the three stripes, side panel and heel counter, among others. The shoes also bear the true mark of an Adidas Consortium collaboration: the signature co-branded labels on the heel and tongue tab.
The Adidas x Overkill ZX 10000-C will be released this Saturday April 13. Take your chances and enter the raffle on END Launches now. The sneaker retails at S$229.
