Michael Jordan became a proper household name after the 1986 game between the Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics. His magical, crowd-silencing gameplay was captured in The Last Dance and forever immortalized his status as the GOAT. The new Air Jordan 1 “Lucky Green” encapsulates that moment in time and MJ’s 63-point victory with an interesting colorway inspired by the rival team. Grab these time-capsule-turn-sneakers on October 15.
This Air Jordan 1 mirrors the Boston Celtic’s team colors with green leather overlays set on the classic white base. The black tongue, laces, swoosh and sock liner add contrast to the bold colorway.
The arena that hosted the legendary game, TD Garden, is also referenced in the design. Subtle hits of red on the tongue tab, heel tab, and Air Jordan emblem are inspired by the red hoops on court. To top it all off, the insole comes printed with the same pattern seen on the arena’s hardwood floor.
The AJ1 Lucky Green will drop in women’s sizes on October 15. Double-check your selected size before checking out.
