Nike is bringing back the Air Jordan 1 “Midnight Navy” from 2001

The sneaker first dropped in 2001, as a Japan-exclusive – a first for Jordan brand.

Update: October 28, 4:50 pm (Singapore time)
The Air Jordan 1 High OG Co.JP “Midnight Navy” has finally received a confirmed drop date. The once-Japanese exclusive kicks will release globally on October 31. You can grab your pair at End Launches and Nike SNKRS.

Though the Air Jordan 1 “Midnight Navy” may have been intended to celebrate the now-postponed 2020 Olympics in Japan, the sneaker is still a much welcome surprise from the Swoosh.

The Air Jordan 1 High OG “Japan” from the 2001 Japan-exclusive pack is set to drop in July 2020. Now, rumors suggest that there will be the release of another sneaker from the pack later this year – the Air Jordan 1 “Midnight Navy”.

The more muted of the two sneakers, the Air Jordan 1 “Midnight Navy” sports a color-blocking similar to the “Chicago” colorway. Instead of red leather, the sneaker will come with navy-blue suede panels on the heel cap, ankle collar, eyelet and forefoot. The rest of the sneaker will come in white tumbled leather – creating an overall clean and simple sneaker. An added detail that is carried from the 2001 release is the metal Jumpman hangtag that comes with the sneaker.
