You can cop a pair at Nike.com.
The Air Jordan 1 Black Toe is among the original colorways from Michael Jordan’s first signature sneaker. So it’s no surprise that it remains popular to this day. In fact, the iconic black, white and red color scheme was even adopted by the Air Jordan 1 Low silhouette earlier this year. However, the high-top iteration hasn’t returned since 2016. At least, not until August 31 this year, when the Air Jordan 1 Satin Black Toe is rumored to drop, according to @Hanzuying.
While it may not be a like-for-like comeback, the difference in the details makes it quite a stunning pair. Leaked images which surfaced online shows the sneaker wrapped in typical tumbled leathers. Or so you think. Take a closer look and the bright red panels steal the show, coming in a soft satin material in place of the usual leather. Adding to the luxurious feel of the sneaker is the clear upgrade of the originally embossed ball-and-wings logo – it’s now constructed from metal instead. Judging from last year’s satin upgrade of the Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard, these will likely be a hit. Whether you’d be able to cop a pair is another question, with only 75,000 pairs rumored to be made available worldwide.
